We asked Deb a few questions about Women in Construction…

What advice would you give to a young woman entering the construction industry?

Ninety percent is showing up on time and paying attention! Don’t be afraid to ask questions. No question is a dumb question when it comes to learning!

Your accomplished career as a pipefitter expands over 20 years. Please describe how Women in Construction have evolved and what you feel is the number one issue today?

We have come a long way over the past 20 years! The only issue I have is that there is never a women’s restroom on a construction site, and I always have to ask for one. A women’s bathroom should be a requirement on all job sites.
