The Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) annual convention took place on March 3-7, 2019 at the JW Marriott, Phoenix Desert Ridge, Arizona.
The event featured world-class speakers which included Magic Johnson, Lori Greiner, and Theo Epstein. Educational seminars and workshops were held throughout the event. Robert Bolton, President & CEO of Arden Building Companies along with Brian Helm, CEO of the Helm Group provided a contractor-led discussion on Growth Through Acquisitions. The presentation was very well received with 84 attendees.
The exhibition floor provided the opportunity to see the latest products and services, as well as new technologies that cut costs, time, and errors. Several entertainment events were also held including the Imagine Dragons in concert.
Multiple sporting events took place including a golf tournament, a tennis round robin, and the annual Fun Run/Walk – a 5K run or 1-mile walk. John Puniello, VP of Construction at Arden Engineering Constructors (pictured below), ran the 5K run in 20 minutes and came in second place. Waymon Jones, Sr. Estimator, and Mark Mastronrio, FP/BIM Designer at Arden Engineering Constructors also ran the race as well as Dan Nelson, VP of Construction at MJ Daly along with his family (pictured below).
